Mandhana was born in a Marwari family on July 18, 1996, in Mumbai to Smita and Shrinivas Mandhana.
Her family relocated to Madhavnagar, Sangli, Maharashtra, when she was two years old, where she completed her education. Her father and brother, Shravan, were also district cricketers for Sangli.
