Indian Army has formally launched Integrated Quarter Master Package (IQMP) software application for automating various logistics-related functions of an Army Unit by the Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Sarath Chand in an event organized at South Block on 02 Nov 2017.
It is web-based software developed by Army Software Development Centre in association with TCS Ltd. which will replace numerous legacy applications such as ‘Vastra’ and ‘Quarter Master Package’. It is an online application consisting of thirteen modules to automate all the logistics functions at the unit level which can dynamically configure to meet the specific requirements of various types of Army units and is capable of sharing information and data with other software applications in the domain of logistics management.

The Indian armed force stated that the product application( iqmp software ) will be an imperative point of reference towards a computerized armed force. The software can be powerfully arranged to meet prerequisites of armed force units and is equipped with offering data and information to other programming applications. The application will help in basic leadership as well as effective logistics management. It also helping Army units to fight prepared constantly, a statement said.
