A lot of people were excited about seeing the Indo-Nepali film “Prem Geet 3” before it even premiered in theaters, thanks to the publicity surrounding its posters, teaser, trailer, and songs. On its first day of release in India, Prem Geet 3 sold 70-80% of its available tickets and needed to earn another 2 crores of rupees just to break even.
Attracts a sizable crowd in India, thanks in large part to celebrations surrounding National Cinema Day; supposedly 75% of tickets were purchased on opening day. Estimates from the trades put its opening weekend in India between 1 and 1.5 crores.
With the addition of the foreign market’s 2 crores, the first-day global box office total was 5.5 crores. Even on Saturday, the film is expected to make more than 1 crore. Making that much in the first week is fantastic for a film that cost 11 crores to produce. The second day of Prem Geet 3’s box office earnings is detailed here.
Box Office Collection
|Day 1 (1st Fri)||Sept 23||₹1.5 Cr|

Incredible attendance was recorded despite the film’s limited release in India and several conflicts with other movies. Prem Geet 3 reportedly made between Rs 1 and 1.5 crores at the box office in India. Following positive audience word of mouth, Pradeep Khadka’s film is expected to recoup its breakeven target of Rs 4 Cr in India in the opening weekend.
It’s the third film in the wildly successful Prem Geet series, in which Pradeep Khadka has played the lead role each. The film also features the performances of Kristina Gurung, Shiva Shrestha, Sunil Thapa, Santosh Sen, and Maotse Gurung. The film is 9.6/10 on the Internet Movie Database.
About 200 theaters in Nepal, 500 in India, and 500 more around the world showed it, for a grand total of around 1200. The total budget for the film was 11 crore, of which 6 crore went toward the actual making of the film itself, and 5 crores went toward the printing and marketing of the film.
