Season 6 of Queer Eye was the ideal way to close 2021, as it was filled with wholesome moments, amazing life lessons, and our Fab Five dancing in good ol’ Texas.
It’s not surprising that fans want additional seasons of this feel-good programme in the future, but what are the odds of that occurring, and what will the upcoming season consist of?
We reveal everything we know so far about Queer Eye season 7, bringing you up-to-date on this Netflix original series’ future.
Queer Eye Season 7 Release Date
Due to the lack of a season 7 announcement, there is no official release date for season 7, which is difficult to forecast given that each season has been published in widely different seasons.
Still, we anticipate that the seventh season of Queer Eye may premiere in the fall or winter of 2022. (Keep your fingers crossed!)
Granted, all of our speculations should be taken with a grain of salt because nothing has been confirmed, but as ardent Queer Eye fans just like you, we hope that they all come true. Until then, each and every season of Queer Eye is currently available exclusively on Netflix.

How many seasons of Queer Eye are there?
There are currently seven official seasons of Queer Eye available on Netflix.
Six of those seasons belong to the original series that we fell in love with in 2018, while the seventh season belongs to the series’ equally remarkable spin-off dubbed Queer Eye: We’re In Japan!
The first four seasons of the series contain eight episodes apiece, followed by seasons 5 and 6 which each contain ten episodes. We have arrived in Japan! has four episodes, although regardless of season, each episode is less than an hour long.
Will there be a Queer Eye season 7?
Netflix has not yet announced a seventh season. Nonetheless, given the success of Queer Eye season 6, we anticipate the release of at least one additional season in the near future.
Once we (hopefully) receive a season 7 renewal, we will update you. In the meantime, continue reading to see what to expect from this season and when it may be released.
Queer Eye Season 7 Cast
In addition to Texas, Australia, and Japan, Queer Eye has previously filmed in Georgia, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, and Philadelphia. There is little reason to doubt that Antoni, Bobby, Jonathan, Karamo, and Tan will reprise their Fab 5 roles, but the show’s setting and protagonists will surely change.
After the announcement, each member of the “Queer Eye” ensemble uploaded a shot from the New Orleans promotional shoot.
In June, Backstage chatted with casting directors Ally Capriotti Grant and Pamela Vallarelli about how Queer Eye identifies its protagonists. “The perfect hero is someone who would never foresee this happening or who would never nominate or submit themselves,” Vallarelli remarked, adding that they search for people who represent diverse regions of the city in which they live.
The beauty of finding someone on the ground is that they or their family are unlikely to think, “I should write in and nominate them.” They have no knowledge of it. They are completely unaware of the program.”
