Raksha Bandhan Day 4 Box Office

Raksha Bandhan Day 4 Box Office: Movie Starring Akshay Kumar Underperforms On Sunday, Collecting Rs. 7.65 Crores!

The performance of Akshay Kumar’s most recent film, Raksha Bandhan, at the box office, has improved slightly. The Aanand L. Rai film made Rs 7.05 crore on Sunday, an increase of almost 8% over the previous day’s total of Rs 21.11 crore. The box office haul during the weekend brings the total for Day 4 to Rs 28.16 crore. Even when compared to Bachchan Pandey and Samrat Prithviraj, two of Akshay’s recent theatrical films, the number is still unimpressive.

It’s generally agreed that none of these movies was a financial success. The Kriti Sanon drama Bachchan Pandey earned Rs 38.25 crore on its fourth day in theatres, while the historical saga Prithviraj made Rs 44.40 cr. The combined earnings for these two films were Rs 68.05 crore and Rs 49.98 crore. The financial failure of Raksha Bandhan is Akshay Kumar’s third consecutive box office bomb.

About Movie Raksha Bandhan

For his part, Lala Kedarnath, the lone male sibling among four sisters, manages the family business, a chat lounge known as Premlata Chat Bhandar. On his mother’s deathbed, Lala tells his fragile mother that he will not marry until he has married off his sisters. That’s what happened after Lala worked so hard to marry off his sisters in accordance with the family’s traditional norms.

But it’s been difficult for him to find suitable husbands for his sisters Laxmi, Durga, and Saraswati due to their dark skin, their weight, and their male behavior. In addition, Lala’s romantic life with his childhood sweetheart Sapna is experiencing some bumps. Lala’s loyalty to his sisters is a major obstacle to his relationship with Sapna.

Sapna, realizing the gravity of Lala’s promise, resolves to hold off on her own plans until he has fulfilled his. Her father is constantly pressuring her to settle down and get married. In the end, Lala collects eighteen lakhs as Gayatri’s dowry. As of this writing, Gayatri is a married woman. After that, they learn that their mother adopted Lala many years ago and that he is not his biological brother.

Lala sells his kidney to pay for the wedding of Durga and Laxmi. Unfortunately, when Gayatri attempted suicide by ingesting poison, things went horribly wrong. She didn’t tell Lala that her husband and his family were pressuring her for more money since she didn’t want to add to his anxiety. The dowry system’s scourge is something Lala is now aware of. He promises that his other three sisters will be financially independent and able to marry without having to pay a dowry when the time comes.

Day Wise Box Office Collection

The film, directed by Aanand L. Rai, is on track to become a major disappointment for its investors after grossing nearly 40% less than even conservative predictions. The five-day extended weekend of Raksha Bandhan will bring in roughly Rs 35 crore, with a decline on Monday.

As for the lifetime business, Raksha Bandhan is aiming for numbers around the Rs 60 crore level, making it yet another post-pandemic disaster in the Hindi film industry. The numbers from abroad are insignificant, while an official tally is still awaited. It’s expected to end up with a worldwide gross of less than $2 million, despite the fact that Raksha Bandhan never aimed to please foreign moviegoers in the first place.

Raksha Bandhan Review

A Pushtaini Gol Gappa (Panipuri) shop owned by Lala Kedarnath (Akshay Kumar) provides the film’s initial impetus in the neighborhoods of Chandni Chowk. Pregnant women frequent his business in the hopes of having a son since they’ve heard that if they eat Gol Gappas from his shop, they’ll have one. Gayatri (Sadia Khateeb), the responsible one, has four sisters: Durga (Deepika Khanna), Laxmi (Smrithi Srikanth), Saraswati (Sahejdeen Kaur), and Sapna, his fiancée (Bhumi Pednekar).

Before his mother passed away, Lala promised her that he would not get married until he had found good matches for his sisters. Despite his best efforts and meticulous screening of all suitable men, he is unable to marry off his sisters. In the meantime, Lala’s loyalty to his sisters gets in the way of his relationship with Sapna. Aanand L. Rai reteams with Atrangi Re! scribe Himanshu Sharma.

This family saga, co-written by Kanika Dhillon, is far too straightforward and universal to be any good. As a sibling myself, I can attest to the depth of Rai’s depiction of sibling love and loyalty. The first part is lighthearted and fun because of the interactions between Lala and her sisters, while the second becomes more serious and serves as a social commentary.
