Thor: Love and Thunder wreak havoc at the Indian box office and crosses the 100-crore mark in its opening weekend. 115 crores have been made in all languages from the fourth Thor film to date. As of today, the Chris Hemsworth-led film is the fifth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to gross in excess of $100 million globally.
As noted by trade analyst Ramesh Bala in a tweet, “India’s box office haul for ThorLoveAndThunder was $14.5 million (about Rs 115 crores).

After taking in $498 million through Sunday, Thor: Love And Thunder surpassed the $500-million barrier, according to a Deadline report. Last weekend’s international decline was 59%. That’s a little less than Spider-Man: No Way Home’s 60 percent drop from its first to the second season. Thor 4’s decline in the Asia-Pacific region was the largest, with a -64% drop. Europe/Middle East/Africa was down 56%, while Latin America was down 53%.

On Day 1, it raked in a stunning Rs 18 crore, making it the fifth-largest opening day for a Hollywood picture in India. Thor: Love and Thunder premiered with Christian Bale in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on July 7th in India. Moviegoers can watch it in their native tongue or any of the other five official regional dialects of India’s six official languages.
Love and Thunder follow Thor on his quest for peace of mind and his own development as a character. However, Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who desires the destruction of the gods, interrupts his peaceful retirement.
