Kamal’s professional table tennis career began while he was a tenth-grader. Soon, he started playing at the state level after finishing his 12th board exams. Sharath’s daily practice habits date back to his school days. No wonder he has held 9 National titles! Sharath received his Bachelor of Commerce from one of the universities in Chennai.
Sharath’s first table tennis instructor and motivation was his father Srinivas Rao alone. Kamal’s uncle joined in on the training later on. At the age of 16 years, Sharath Kamal entered the professional table tennis scene and by 18 years of age, he was a known name in the state championships.
