One Twitter user, Ellen Armstrong, was so moved by the commercial that she said Pickles should replace the current Doctor Who. Armstrong said on Twitter, “I’m just going to say it: @pickles Carolyn has to be the next Doctor @bbcdoctorwho and I’ll volunteer as tribute.”

As well as being an actress, Carolyn Pickles is also a published author. Both Broadchurch and Harry Potter featured her as a cast member. Charity Burbage, a professor of Muggle Studies, was a role she played in Part 1 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Pickles decided to become an actor after completing a degree in Drama at the University of Manchester.

The Wakefield, West Yorkshire-born actress has featured on stage in London’s West End and on the ITV serial opera Emmerdale, in which she played Shelley Williams. Pickles currently resides in North London with her two daughters, one of which is the actress Lucy Pickles. In addition to being a professor at Pinewood Studios, her Twitter feed suggests she is a lecturer there as well.
Controversy Surrounding Tesco’s Christmas Advert
The cheerful Christmas commercial has reportedly become 2021’s most-maligned marketing campaign, according to Essex Live. Over 3,000 people have already filed formal complaints. Many people were offended by the commercial since it showed Santa clutching a passport for the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Advertising Standards Agency has received more than three thousand complaints against this advertisement, according to a company representative. We’re giving these complaints our full attention as we try to figure out what to do next. Most of the criticism is on the ad’s alleged promotion of medical discrimination based on a person’s vaccination status.
