Indira Devi, the mother of Bollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, passed away from sickness on Wednesday at the age of 70, according to the PTI. Film producer and daughter Manjula Ghattamaneni posted an Instagram homage to her mother, Indira Devi. There was a note from her: “The Family, You are the one and only Guru I have ever known; you are the rock upon which I stand and the source of my own being.
I have felt safe in your affection. You have more of an impact on me than anyone else. All her life, my mother had done nothing except give without ever thinking of herself. We can’t think of a single childhood memory that doesn’t include her. In her typical altruistic and compassionate fashion, she saw to our every need.”
In her note, she elaborated: “Whoever has interacted with her has sensed her warmth. Her humor, wit, and contagious grin are irresistible. Only a mother can give her kid the unconditional love, acceptance, and safety that I felt in her arms. She is unable of rejecting a request. No matter how many times we crossed paths, we never got into an argument.
Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us, mum. Thank you is never enough. Your willingness to give of yourself without expecting anything in return is inspiring. Because of all that you’ve done for us, we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to call you mom.”
This is how Manjula Ghattamaneni concluded her blog post: “I trust that your unwavering love will shield us from harm no matter how far away we may be. We shall always hold you in our hearts. Quite simply, I adore you. Sending my best wishes and prayers your way on your continued path.”

Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadarshini are Indira Devi’s daughters, whereas Mahesh Babu is her son’s surviving child. The death of her eldest son Ramesh Babu occurred in the first month of this year.
