In a tweet showcasing her diamond engagement ring, Millie Bobby Brown revealed her engagement to boyfriend Jake Bongiovi.
After fans were shocked to learn that the Stranger Things star had found her “forever” spouse, the term “she is 19” began to trend on Twitter.
When expressing her feelings for Jake, 20, who is also an actress and will be in the upcoming comedyRockbottom, Mille, 19, uploaded the caption to Taylor Swift’s song, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”
He posted two pictures to Instagram with the single word “forever.”
Fans have also showered the celebrity with congratulations. “Congratulations Miliii,” one fan wrote.
“Congratulations Millie always the best and the most beautiful actor,” wrote another admirer.
A third person commented, “Congrats, best wishes, and prayers for you both. May God shower you with love, happiness, and blessings beginning on the day you decide to define your love story as lasting forever.”
Her age has drawn criticism from some fans, who said “Too young for marriage, too young engagement.”
“You guys need to keep your opinions to yourself like shut up no one really cares about oh she’s 19 yes she’s 19 she’s an adult she can make her own choices,” one admirer said in defense of her.
Jake, the artist Jon Bon Jovi’s son, first connected with Millie online in 2021, and the two soon began dating.
During a WIRED YouTube feature about their relationship, Millie said, “We were friends for a while…and then, what can I say?”
