Chennai is one of three Indian versions of Amazon Prime Video’s American romantic comedy anthology series Modern Love, which was conceived by John Carney and based on the weekly New York Times column of the same name.
It debuted with two seasons of eight episodes each and now has an IMDb score of 8/10. Moden Love: Mumbai and Moden Love: Hyderabad, the Hindi and Telugu versions of Modern Love, as well as Modern Love Chennai, the Tamil version of the International series, were also adapted.
More than 40 new programs were also unveiled for Amazon Prime Video at the inaugural Amazon Prime Present India event in Mumbai, in addition to the aforementioned titles.
Indian filmmaker Karan Johar organized an event where the streamer unveiled the new projects with the hashtag “#SeeWhereItTakesYou” to promote them.
The Release Date for Modern Love Chennai
On December 30, 2022, Amazon Prime Video will broadcast an Indian remake of the American sitcom Modern Love Chennai. Bharathi Raja, Balaji Sakthivel, Raju Murugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar, and Akshay Sundher will direct the five storylines, which will be produced by Tyler Durden And Kino Fist.

Six Different Types of Love, a six-episode series that will examine six different but universal stories of love set in the lovely city of Chennai, will be unveiled at the Amazon Prime Present India event on April 28, 2022.
The cast of Modern Love Chennai
Vijayalakshmi, Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, and Vijayalakshmi are among the cast of Modern Love Chennai, which is based on the novel of the same name by Sanjula S. Bharathi Raja, Balaji Sakthivel, Raju Murugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar,
and Akshay Sundher are among the directors who have worked on the series. One of the main authors of the story was the team of Balaji Tharaneetharan and Rajumurugan.
Tyler Durden And Kino Fist created the show, which has the support of Amazon Prime Video. The series features a slew of high-profile performers in its cast. Here are their full names:

Modern Love: Chennai Makers
Every filmmaker, including Bharathi Raja, has made their OTT debut with this series. Balaji Sakthivel, director of “Kaadhal,” comes back after directing Vazhakku Enn 18/9 in 2012. Krishnakumar Ramakumar, also known as “Five Star Krishna,” is making his directorial debut with the series.
Raju Murugan, the director of Gypsy and the Joker, is on board. Another director is Akshay Sundher. In partnership with Kino First, it is produced by Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Tyler Durden label. Raju Murugan, Reshma Ghatala, and Pratheep Kumar collaborated with him as co-authors on this piece.
