The burial for Takeoff, the late Migos rapper, will be held on Friday, and like his career, it will be massive. place at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
The Atlanta Hawks of the NBA call this arena home, and it can fit more than 20,000 fans.
Services, officiated by Rev. Jesse Curney, III of New Mercies Christian Church, will begin at 1:00 PM… if you believe Atlanta’s V-103.
Pastor Curney made these remarks in a statement: “Upon hearing the news, I felt an overwhelming sense of sadness. Kinnick joined when he was 10 years old and hasn’t missed a meeting since. He and his loved ones were strong backers of the local church and community.”
Since Takeoff was murdered on November 1 in Houston, residents’ emotions have been high.
Within hours of hearing the awful news, graffiti artist Armondo “Ape” Monoletti created a painting in Atlanta, and over the weekend, friends and family of Takeoff released balloons in his honor.
Police sources just told TMZ that they are actively looking into the argument that led to the death of the 28-year-old musician. but haven’t been able to narrow it down to a single suspect.
