In honour of the great vocalist Lata Mangeshkar and her 93rd birthday, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, has constructed a 40-foot veena that weighs 14 tonnes.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of India, will officially open a new crossroads today called Lata Mangeshkar Chowk by playing the veena, the musical instrument connected with Saraswati, the Goddess of learning. It has been reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the inauguration ceremonies online. The gathering will feature religious and political dignitaries, and Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy will be present.
