The enormous violin was placed in the middle of a busy intersection in Ayodhya, which was given the name Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in honour of the legendary singer.

In honour of the great vocalist Lata Mangeshkar and her 93rd birthday, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, has constructed a 40-foot veena that weighs 14 tonnes.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of India, will officially open a new crossroads today called Lata Mangeshkar Chowk by playing the veena, the musical instrument connected with Saraswati, the Goddess of learning. It has been reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the inauguration ceremonies online. The gathering will feature religious and political dignitaries, and Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy will be present.

I’m happy that an Ayodhya Chowk is going to be dedicated to her today. The film is a worthy homage to one of India’s most beloved cultural figures “said PM Modi in a tweet.

The city’s Ram Katha Park is hosting a cultural celebration and exhibition centred on the singer’s life.
