Blue Bloods Season 13: Will CBS’ Release The Sequel in October 2022?

CBS has been the most-watched TV network in the US for quite some time, and one of the reasons for this is undoubtedly Blue Bloods. Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green, two veterans of The Sopranos, created the police drama that starred Tom Selleck on CBS in 2010.

CBS has a winner on its hands with Blue Bloods, which is why the show is returning for a thirteenth season in the fall of 2022. Everything we know about the forthcoming thirteenth season of Blue Bloods is outlined below. The Reagan family of CBS’s classic show Blue Bloods will soon return to the airwaves after another long summer.

As with most other fall shows, Blue Bloods has been off the air since May, when CBS switched to an all-rerun, all-unscripted summer lineup. The good news is that season 13 of Blue Bloods will premiere on CBS this fall as part of the network’s Fall 2022-23 schedule. Season 13 is almost here, and fans have been counting down since the last episode aired.

Blue Bloods Season 13 Release Date

Premiering on Friday, October 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Season 13 of Blue Bloods will continue to be a staple of CBS’s Friday night lineup. The day after their initial broadcast, all new episodes will be made available for on-demand viewing on Paramount Plus.

Blue Bloods Season 13

Since its launch in 2010, Friday nights have been dedicated to Blue Bloods. It airs late at night on Fridays and Saturdays, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of TV’s most popular series. Based on Nielsen data, Blue Bloods ranked as the ninth most-watched show of the 2021-22 TV season, with 9.782 million people.

If you exclude the NFL games, though, the show moved up to the fifth place. Season 12 of Blue Bloods debuted on June 20 in the UK on Sky Witness. While we haven’t heard anything officially, we may assume that the UK will get Blue Bloods Season 13 around the same time.

Blue Bloods Season 13 Cast

No major character departures are expected in the upcoming season. In the new season, Erin Reagan will be running for District Attorney. To maintain continuity with actual world events, that vote will probably occur in November.

hence, we can expect to see the results of that plot soon. Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray round out Blue Bloods’ primary cast. Consequently, we can expect the following to come back:

  • Tom Selleck as Frank Reagan
  • Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan
  • Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan
  • Will Estes as Jamie Reagan
  • Len Cariou as Henry Reagan
  • Marisa Ramirez as Marisa Baez
  • Vanessa Ray as Eddie Janko

Blue Bloods Season 13 Synopsis

Erin Reagan declared her candidacy for district attorney at the monthly family meal. Because of her significant disagreements with the incumbent district attorney, Kimberly Crawford, she made the decision (Roslyn Ruff). Erin was encouraged to apply for the position by Crawford, who knew she no longer had any interest in prosecuting minor offenses.

Because of this, both the police force as a whole and her father, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), the commissioner, would be in hot water. In addition, Detective Maria Baez received some positive feedback (Ramirez). Maria’s personal life had been on hold for several years as she focused on her career, but she recently realized she needed to take a break.

She was so moved by her work on a criminal case involving a newborn who had been abandoned that she decided to adopt the infant herself. While we don’t know much about what to expect from Blue Bloods season 13, we can assume that Erin Reagan’s announcement in the season 12 finale that she was running for District Attorney will be a major plot point.
