Chicago PD Season 8 Finale Review

It’s possible that this Chicago PD season finale was the best ever. As Intelligence raced against the clock to find Burgess, who had been kidnapped by a dangerous crime ring, tensions ran high on Chicago PD Season 8 Episode 16. And now they were a group that couldn’t work together. This season, Intelligence has been discussing reform at length as they learn to operate in a world where they must follow rules and do things by the book; this became a contentious issue when it came time to decide how to save Burgess.

However, Atwater and Halstead were not pleased with the attitude of Ruzek and Voight, who were willing to do anything to bring her home. After all, Ruzek’s only goal was to get his girl back to her daughter Makayla, so he abandoned all sense of caution. He disregarded warrants at every turn and pointed a gun at a man’s head to make him talk when there was no gun present.

Chicago PD Season 8 Finale Review

It was a little dangerous, but under the circumstances, I can see why they did it. Although he had too much at stake personally and emotionally, he should never have been involved in the case, to begin with. Burgess is his life’s love despite their on-again, off-again relationship. For her, he would do anything. And I have no doubt that he would kill for her.

Atwater tried to be honest with him, but Ruzek’s anger and terror were too great for him to listen. He only managed to infuriate Ruzek further, who then said some pretty harsh things to him while he was angry. Ruzek’s criticism of Atwater for not doing more to save Burgess was unjustified. Since Atwater and Burgess are such close friends, he was just as shaken by her kidnapping as Ruzek was.

He was aware of how dire the situation was, but he also knew that leading with emotions and disregarding the rules would get them nowhere. A reasonable voice and Switzerland in the end, Hailey spoke up. While she could relate to Ruzek’s emotions, she tried to reason with him, reminding him that he couldn’t break the rules for Makayla’s sake.
