Review of Season 2 of “Delhi Crime”

Delhi police are racing against the clock to apprehend the killers before more elderly people in gated communities become victims. They also have to deal with intense scrutiny from the general public, meddling from the media, internal conflicts, and pressure from above. Has bravery had a price tag? Delhi Crime is about so much more than just cops rounding up criminals.

The series does an excellent job at capturing the ups and downs of conflict and eliciting a wide range of feelings from its audience. The second season, which is based on a chapter from the book by former Commissioner of Delhi Police Neeraj Kumar, returns to the seedy side of Delhi. While violence isn’t hidden, neither is it exploited by the viewers’ sensitive rather than predatory gaze.

The outrage is directed at the act of criminality itself, rather than the perpetrator himself. Nighttime chase scenes are enhanced by handheld camerawork (courtesy of DOP David Bolen) and music by Ceiri Torjussen. The production design and dialogue by Sanyuktha Chawla and Virat Basoya are both excellent, and they immediately set the tone. Ensia Mirza, who collaborated with Mayank Tewari on this piece, writes interestingly.

You feel like you’re both observing these cops from a distance and participating in the inquiry. The actress manages to find the perfect middle ground between the two. Shefali isn’t the only important character; Rajesh Tailang, Rasika Dugal, Sidharth Bhardwaj, Gopal Datt, Adil Hussain, and Anurag Arora all keep their complex personalities and roles in the story.

The eccentric personalities of Tillotama Shome and Jatin Goswami stand out. While the cop universe inhabited by the mainstream Bollywood boys club is mildly entertaining, Vartika Chaturvedi is the hero we really need. She maintains her composure under pressure and has a keen eye for the needs of others. DC Comics is not mindless fun for the whole family. It’s a genuine article.

Season 2 of Delhi Crime: Story Plot

The case files will also include an account of what happened after the incident in Nirbhaya. The show’s star, Shefali Shah, has received rave reviews. The second season will focus on several more shocking incidents that occurred in Delhi and throughout the country. Despite this, viewers will still be severely disappointed by the second season. After Richie Mehta, who directed the pilot and the first season, steps down, a new director will take over.

In the second season, a big shift occurs, and it will heavily include Abhishek Singh, an IAS official in Delhi. Season two will feature Rajesh Mapuskar, a director who shot to prominence with the critically acclaimed Marathi film Ventilator. Mapuskar has allegedly won a national award for the best ventilator. Rajesh has previously worked as an associate director on both the Munna Bhai films and 3 Idiots.
