Soon, India’s first business reality show of its kind, Shark Tank India, will return with another exciting season. The first season of the show premiered on Sony Entertainment Television from December through February 4, 2022.
The show is the Indian franchise of the American business reality show of the same name, which started on ABC on August 9, 2009, and ran for 24 seasons and 281 episodes with great popularity.
In its first season, the show was a smash since it was fresh for Indian auditions and completely distinct from the other dramatic reality series of the Indian Television Industry.
It depicts entrepreneurs from various parts of the country presenting their businesses to a panel of investors known as “Sharks” on the show. After hearing the pitches, the sharks decide whether or not to invest in the company.
Originally, a contract for 30 episodes was signed, but due to the show’s success, it was extended to 35 episodes. The show was presented by Ranvijay Singh Singha of Roadies fame.
Not only did the show gain popularity, but it also bolstered the startup environment; its IMDb rating is 9 out of 10.
Sharks in Shark Tank Indian Season 2
The judges of the first season garnered a great deal of popularity, and the fans adored them. The first season features a panel of seven Sharks (entrepreneurs) who are the driving forces behind some of the most renowned brands.

- Anupam Mittal- Founder and CEO of India’s leading online wedding service platform Shaadi.com and People Group
- Ghazal Alagh– Co-founder and Chief Mama of MamaEarth
- Namita Thapar- Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals
- Peyush Bansal- Co-founder and CEO of India’s leading eyewear brand Lenskart
- Vineeta Singh- CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics
In Shark Tank India Season 2, they will be joined by other entrepreneurs, despite the fact that these sharks garnered a great deal of notoriety in the first season.
