Poking Remark Jonathan Trott
Ask any cricket fan about Ashes 2013-14, the first thing that would come to their mind would be Mitchell Johnson. Johnson was probably at his best as he tore apart the England’s batting lineup , rendering them helpless. There was nothing that they could have done to counter his bowling.
England suffered a humiliating defeat in that series , with a whitewash on Australian soil. Jonathan Trott had to unfortunately leave the tour midway due to some anxiety issues.
It was when Warner thought of taking a dig at Trott’s condition which didn’t go well with the cricketing world. He was quoted as – It does look like they have got scared eyes at the moment , and the way that Trott got out today was pretty poor and weak.”
Andy Flower, the cricketing great from Zimbabwe and many other from Australia found the remarks completely disrespectful and totally uncalled .
Most infamous punch in cricket history
This incident happened back in 2013 , after the champion trophy match between Australia and England. England had won that match and it was in the pub when an angry Warner tried to punch Root.
The news became a forest fire and Warner was sacked from the Champions trophy team immediately. Though he apologized to Joe Root for the incident , Warner had to face the flak throughout that ashes tour that followed.
Later on Warner explained the whole matter to the media , as to what triggered him to go for a hit at Root. Root seemed to have made fun of Muslims by wearing a beard wig , which didn’t go well with Warner.
