South Africa scored 227/3 in 20 overs after being put into bat by Rohit Sharma in the third T20I, which took place on Tuesday in Indore. In a poor reaction, India lost wickets frequently and scored 178/10 in 18.3 overs. Shreyas Iyer, in his debut game of the series, scored 1, while Rohit was bowled out for 0 (2). Rishabh Pant was batting at 27 from 14 balls until he was caught by Trishan Stubbs at the point.

Suryakumar Yadav also left early with 6 (8), while Dinesh Karthik scored 46 on just 21. As for Harshal Patel, he scored 17. Axar Patel was caught behind on 9. Ravichandran Ashwin scored 2 (4). Deepak Chahar scored 31 (17), Umesh Yadav scored 20* (17), and Mohammad Siraj scored  5(7).

Rossouw had already scored a 100* off 48 balls earlier in the evening, and De Kock had contributed 68 (43). The bowlers Chahar and Siraj each handed up 48 runs. Each of the pacers managed to take a wicket. Harshal Patel was just as costly, allowing 49 runs while bowling his overs.
