Cost of Netflix per Month: An Overview of The Monthly Costs Associated with Each Membership Option And More Updates!

Netflix has increased the price of its monthly membership options, and some subscribers have already noticed the changes. Sadly, we all knew it was going to happen. Even so, we’d have liked to have had a bit longer.

In October 2020, the streaming service raised its subscription costs for the first time since that date. For the standard and premium plans, the price increased from $13.99 to $17.99 each month. It was initially priced at $12.99 per month and $15.99 per month for the premium plan.

As of 2022, Netflix aims to raise the prices of all of its subscriptions by an average of 10%. How come, you ask? This is because the streamer’s subscriber growth has stalled in 2021. Netflix’s membership base shrank by about 400,000 in the first half of 2021.

The damage had already been done by the third quarter, despite the streamer’s ability to make up for those losses. Every second, millions of people across the world are watching a Netflix series on the OTT platform. An excellent example of this is The Witcher: Season 2, which has amassed over 400 million hours of viewing time in just one week.

There are four different Netflix plans available in the United States right now. Plans range from Rs 149 to Rs 649. In each plan, the number of screens on which a piece of material can be seen at once is variable. The following is a complete list of Netflix’s subscription options:

A Timeline of Netflix Price Increases

Data from The Verge(opens in new tab) shows that while the Premium Netflix tier used to be relatively consistent, since 2017 it has witnessed the most significant increases, with each bump increasing by $2. Most monthly price increases have been $1, with the exception of the $2 rise in 2019 and the $1.50 increase in 2022.

Planned Tata Play DTH Netflix Package

In addition, Tata Play has released a number of DTH options that include Netflix. Starting at Rs 849 per month, the company now offers plans ranging up to Rs 1,249 per month and more.

However, the Tata Play Smart Binge+ set-top box is required to access Netflix content. The Android streaming box has OTT packages as well as live TV channels available.
